God created Adam and Eve. One was a man and the other was a woman sharing equal responsibility for bringing up a whole new world of humanity. Thence forward man and woman can be thought of as the two wheels of a bicycle , if one gets speculative , the other one just can’t keep moving on to make progress. But the society has never thought of the two genders as equals and has a notion that females are inferior to the dominating males. Because of this forged thinking females have been deprived of education since ancient times.

India has always been conservative in nature and because of that age old superstitions and blind faith against female education, girls have been made to drop out school early and bear children instead. What these people are missing actually is that women are actually the first “teachers” to their children. They actually shape the minds and teach them proper ethics for the future , hence a well-educated woman no doubted will have children of a superior intellect. The very foundation of our people will remain weak, if the females will be ignorant the society will lose the services of a powerful part of our society. Apart from this, it has been proven scientifically that men and women share same rational levels and all women are capable of doing and achieving that any other men can do.

certain measures have been taken up  in India to ensure better female participation in field of education such as fee waiver in primary education , girls quota like National Programme for Education of Girls at Elementary Level (NPEGEL) and also The government has undertaken to provide this education free of cost and make it compulsory for those in that age group. This undertaking is more widely known as Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA). While such measure have ensured a rise in girls now getting educated , it is far from being 100% and do to that, first the thinking  units level has to convert. A bright girls always means a bright future for her and support for her family. She can contribute much more by being educated rather by being nescient.

India is moving forward to a change  and actually paying attention to the female education which is a wise thing to do. just like M K Gandhi said: ‘It is fine if you educate a boy: you create a good man at best. But if you educate a woman, you educate a family and transform society”.
